Part Number Change Rules

1.  Quantity moves from old to new ( does not replace)

2.  Bin location moves from old to new.  If new part already has a bin then the old part’s bin will move into the second location.  However, if all are full on new part then the old bins will not move.

3.  History will be maintained on the quick-code record

Quantity history is moved to the new part if you are not keeping the old part as a quick code AND the new part does not already exist.  If the new part already exists the history will not be merged.

4.  Per Job will move from old part to new part as long as the new part does not already have a value in that field.

5.  Alternate parts and memo line will move forward

6.  Manual BRP and BSL will move forward if new part fields are blank.

7.  Open Invoices are updated to the new part number.

8.  Outstanding orders are updated to the new part number.

9.  Sales history of the old part number is combined with the new part number.
